5 Tips on Wooden Flooring Maintenance

1. Keep gravel and sand outside

The most important thing you can do for your wood floor is get a good doormat to clean and dry shoes before coming in. We recommend removing your shoes before entering. This is one of the simplest, yet most effective tips for good wooden floor maintenance.

2. Put protective pads on furniture

Put soft pads on the bottom of table and chair legs and keep an eye that they haven’t fallen off. Don’t use protectors made of metal as they can wear patches and scratch the wood floor.

3. Wipe away liquid spills immediately

One of the most damaging things to any sort of wood flooring is excess moisture. While our engineered wooden floors are treated in some ways to make them less sensitive to water, you should still aim to clean up spills as soon as they occur to avoid any warping. When you clean the floor, you should also use a damp cloth or mop, and not a wet one.
